2011 A Kitchen Odyssey

In 2011: A Kitchen Odyssey everyday objects such as an iron and a pestle have been embellished with gold leaf and launched into space.  Their journey takes them beyond the everyday and suggests more exciting possibilities for these mundane objects.  Inspired by the film 2001 A Space Odyssey the domestic objects appear to float weightlessly in space suggesting another dimension to daily life.
